Summer

The awaited season of the year,
brings out fresh fruits and leaves.
The laughter and fun for the children in summer,
Makes us forget all our grieves.

The soaring of the birds,
The heat from the sun,
Gives us the mood,
To play and have fun.

The ring of the ice cream seller's bell,
Makes children run towards it,
As ice cream is nothing less than a source of refreshment,
To calm us from the heat.

The sunshine and the beautiful flowers,
Give us the summer feel,
And all the sorrow and anger in our head will disappear,
And the diseases in our body will heal.

The muskmelons, the watermelons and all the juicy fruits,
Even if they are a thousand in number,
Gets finished within a day or two,
And the fruit sellers will earn money like thunder.

The coconuts keep our body cool,
And removes all the toxins out of our body.
They give us the energy to do work throughout the day,
Whether it is a man, boy or a lady.

The excitement ends when the season of summer gets over,
The summer vacation for the children ends.
It is time that we look forward towards our studies now,
And also make new friends.
