My eighteenth birthday is coming!

Hallo! My name is Neil.
And my eighteenth birthday is coming up.
Do you even know
what that means?

It means I can drink.
Legally. I can walk into a pub
And order anything I want
and they have to give it to me.

if they ask for an id, I can flash mine.
'Coz I'll be eighteen then! Eighteen!
I can drink what Dad drinks
Or Mom. I can drink what uncle drinks.
Or aunt.
I can drink with them, I'll be eighteen!

Here we are!

I'm eighteen.
We're at the pub, Mom, Dad, aunt, uncle and I.
They're laughing -- amused at me
But I don't care. I'm eighteen.
I can drink!

We order.
"Is the young man of age?"
We nod, all of us in unison.
I flash my id.

He shakes his head.
"No," he says, regretfully.

None of us noticed the notice.
Now, I'm bored by the board.

"BY ORDER OF THE COMMISSIONER
OF POLICE
Legal drinking age
for the city of Mumbai
is now officially
21 years.
(Twenty one years)."
