Today in the Life...

I really should do some writing of my own instead of reading everyone else's. Lol. But I usually do my blog (wordmomma.wordpress.com) before I get into working on this site. So I seem to empty myself for the moment. Once I start to fill back up I usually grab my journal.

I am trying a new creative medium to help me move forward with my writing. I'm learning guitar. I took a class in college years ago but never kept up. My husband is VERY proficient with a guitar so that could be a bit intimidating. But since I have both an acoustic (my Mom's old one) and an electric (one of my husband's old ones) guitar I might as well learn to use them. I want to learn to play Spanish guitar. I love to listen to it. It is so expressive and free. So I found a free class on Coursea and I am plugging along into my third week of classes.


I like that I have another focus besides writing to realize my creativity. I also have my coloring books (some adult but most of them are from my childhood), a watercolor class in a box and a few other fun things to keep me out of a rut. It is taking a while but I am slowly growing out of the old me. I need to do different things and not the same ole same ole. So this is what I am trying to do. I am expending myself. I making a bigger garden.
