This poem depicts the Sounds of Nature and the beauty of a new day.

Long last the silent night
Until the wind did whisper
True Love is all around you
Be still your heart and listen

Listen to the night fall away
Hear the Sun Rise and Sing
The Stars whimper as they fade
One by one giving way to the light of a new day

Colors fill the air with song
Purple, red and yellow
Blue the loudest lags behind
And stretches wide across the morning sky

Puffy clouds
Thick and grey
Rumble and flash
Filled with rain

With a shake and a grumble
They roll over the mountains yonder
A Hazy Shady Wonder
Silvery mist, filled with thunder

The Mighty Red River
Steeped in reflection
Takes notice and babbles
To all who are willing to listen

Red Rose, Blooms with a sigh
Having heard it all before
Grateful to be alive
She Sings to the drip, drop of rain

Still water ripples
Along the river’s edge
Gently pushing lilies
Back and forth

Dragonflies
Skip and Dance across the way
Cat Tails
Tickle the wind with each sway

Frogs laugh as they play
Turtles bask in warm sun rays
As the sun gently breaks
Through the lazy misty haze

With a mighty howl
The wind thus proclaims
Here now on display
Mother nature’s gift

To her youngest babe
True Love
As heard through
The sound of a new day

End
