I woke up one fine morning and looked at the sun,
It was bright and blazing and everything looked fun.
So I sat and waited and waited, never did the chore soon,
Said to myself, "There is always the noon".
At noon the sun was blazing hot,
Draining my energy to nothing at all.
I started then stopped, my face fully flushed,
What more do I need? There is the dusk.
The dusk brought with it the beauty of the sun,
People returned home, their work already done.
I sat and enjoyed; Nature at its best,
Another part of the day, failed to acknowledge my test.
There is tomorrow, there is tomorrow, I said.
Something to do again, another chance I left,
When the sun did rise the next day however,
I felt "There are more days" , and so failed to do my task forever.
And thus when I realised my folly, I wept
But wiped away my tears, and got up to do my best,
Never more did I keep work for another day,
Once a lesson, forever at bay.
