Who's There?

Chapter 2

Jamie and I hold hands walking back into campus. Could this person be going to school with us? Do we even know them? These questions kept running through my mind all day and all night. I just can't figure out who would want to kill Jamie and I.

"Sof, you ok?" Jamie asked me while squeezing my hand.

"Yeah. I just can't figure out who would want to kill us. Did we do something to this person? Do we deserve this?" I put my head down as a tear fell down my cheek.

"No we don't deserve this! I mean honestly, it could be one of my moms ex-boyfriends or it could be someone your dad pissed off?" you could tell she didn't want to say that but honestly, that could be true.

Even though my parents are on good terms, my dad is not a good person. My mom divorced him because he wouldn't get out of the mob. She still loves him but she couldn't protect him anymore.

"You know Jamie, I never thought of my dad pissing someone off." I grab my new phone and text my mom.

*To: Hannah*
"Hey, could this be the doing of one of D's enemies?"

I put my phone back into my pocket hoping it would buzz right away but it never did. Class, after class, she never replied. I don't mean to hurt her feelings or blame dad for this but unfortunately, it's possible.
