Eighteen things I want my daughter to remember as she turns eighteen.
Call me. Anytime. For any reason.

Be you. You may not know who are yet, but you know who you are not. Stand up for yourself, your beliefs, and your dreams.

It's okay to make mistakes and fail. The important thing is to try, learn, and move on. That's life.

There will always be Mean Girls. Give them your best Southern Bitch and walk away without looking back.

Remember the difference between a friend and an acquaintance.

See the world while you can and find your passion.

Trust your instincts. Rely on your own intuition instead of the opinions of others.

If someone tries to change you, run, don't walk, away as quick as possible.

You alone are responsible for your choices.

Always apologize with grace.

Just because you forgive someone doesn't mean you have to forget.

Be thankful. Your life may not be perfect, but it could be much worse.

It's okay to cry. Get out the sadness so you can replace it with happiness.

Jealousy is not worth your time.

Knowledge is power.

Never settle. Go after what you want. It's okay to change your mind, but never give up.

Life doesn't owe you anything. Life may not be fair, but God is always good.

I will never stop loving you.
