A special gift is given to a special person in this short poem.
A Special Bouquet

I went to her house on a Sunday afternoon.
I know that I must have looked like a buffoon.
I had just been to the store, been in there for hours,
Carefully selecting all the best flowers.
Roses and tulips at the best of their color,
I knew this bouquet couldn’t get any fuller.
I paid the store clerk and was out on my way,
And she called back to me, “This’ll sure make her day!”
The clerk plucked a big white beautiful flower,
And assured me that this one right here’d really wow her.
I thanked her again and I headed outside,
Boy that bouquet really filled me with pride!
I went on down the street, maybe three blocks or four,
For her I’d be glad to walk one thousand more.
I came to her house, the big one on the corner,
And she must have seen the bouquet I had for her.
She burst out the door with joy in her face,
And said “for that I’ll need one hell of a vase”.
I embraced her and told her she’d have only the best,
And she said she only needed me to be blessed.
