Forevermore

At the edge of the water, near the emerald sea,
The gulls and the pipers are beckoning me.
Why did you leave us? Why did you roam?
You know that the ocean will always be home.
I followed another, but now I’ve returned,
I knew in my heart for you I had yearned.
No more will I venture away from the shore
I’ll rest here beside you forevermore.
