Little loves

There is something about a grandchild,
that cannot be explained.
Their giggles bring so much joy,
and it helps to ease the pain.

Before they came into my life,
I was I was struggling to crack a smile,
They gave me the kind of hope
that I hadn't felt in a while.

I thank God every day,
for helping me to see
that life is not over, it's just begun
and for knowing what I need.
