A deep poem I found myself writing at 3am...
He stood there watching as she cried,
Her back towards him, trying to hide.
He kneels down beside her,
Whispering "I'm here for you dear".

She flinches and moves away,
He pulls her close and tells her to stay.
"Leave me at once!!!" she shouts,
As he smiles and says "Let me in and I'll rid all your doubts".

She pushes him aside and runs out the door,
Her eyes downcast and begins to tear up more.
He contemplates whether or not to follow,
Since he knows how speedily she's becoming hollow.

She runs into the bathroom and locks the door shut,
As her eyes begin to scan the room for something sharp enough to cut.
He lays there after she left still on the floor cursing life,
While watching the girl deteriorate, whom he wants as his wife.

She finds a razor blade and presses it close to her wrist,
Slicing her flesh, as she knows she wont be missed.
He feels uneasy and calls out her name,
Hearing no answer his heart begins to pain.

His heart is gunning as he bursts through the door,
Only to find her covered in crimson on the floor.
He picks her up and runs, as tears stream down his face,
All the while her soul is slowly leaving her body to a better place.

He looks down watching her eyes half flutter,
"I'll stop it all" he hears her mutter.
He shakes her while telling her to open her eyes,
He screams out and cries as he feels her body turn cold as ice.

Burying his face in the crook of her neck, he knows its too late,
Clutching her tight, its himself who he now starts to hate...
