Not quite a Monster

Call him a monster
But you don't ask how the monster was made'

Stereotype him as a villain
Unable to see the angel inside
…the one you helped slay

You cry for the ones he's hurt
Well so does he
Just try to consider he may be a victim too

The world shouts for his death
Overpowering his cries for help

People prophesy his future
Yet you won't grant him a chance to change

The truth is never heard
So he resorts to lies

Too much pain in his soul
But he'll be judged if he cries
So reclusive he'll stay

When he lashes out there'll be hell to pay
And you must take part in the blame
Because now he is the monster you made
