A Poem About Nothing

There is no topic at all on my mind,
nor any subject here for you to find.
It is a poem about nothing, you see,
only words written for you from me.

The title of my poem makes it clear
there is no story or any lesson here.
Just words, punctuation, and rhyme
written so you and I could pass time.

I had no muse but I wanted to write,
when I sat down at my desk tonight.
I started with a title and wrote a line.
Thus began this little poem of mine.

This poem about nothing now exists
with no story, hero or any plot twists.
But because you are reading it now,
nothing connects us both somehow.
