'Sweetheart? Where'd I leave my Tigers hat?'
A robin
tried to build her nest
on the clothesline 'twixt two pegs.

Bits of straw
refused to balance
no matter how hard she tried.

Finally,
robin looked elsewhere.
Found secure place to build home

with vine, Christmas tinsel, dog hair, sticks:
atop oaken beam in baseball cap.
