An acrostic poem (1st letters of each line spell the title) for the holidays.
The snow is falling lightly in a fairy tale display.
Inside, the fire crackles warmth to bitter hands and faces.
Scarves and mittens hang on pegs o’er boots with frozen laces.
Tea is brewing on the stove to take the chill away.
Holidays are coming and the mood is bright and gay.
Evergreens burst forth with pungent seasonal embraces.

Sitting by the fire brings a peace to one and all.
Evening darkness lurks outside, but indoors all's aglow.
Amorous displays abound beneath the mistletoe.
Sharing tales of winters past, we struggle to recall
Our childhood slips on hidden ice, and snow drifts six feet tall.
No one’s really sure they miss those winters long ago.
