Be Thankful

There are so many things to be thankful for,
Look around at all of your friends,
who love and care for you.

Look up and see the roof over your head,
because there are people who do not have one.

Be thankful for a job,
because there are many people who are struggling,
struggling to make a living,
as a single parent,
with 2 children.

Be thankful for your parents,
because there are many people who grow up without one,
just like I did.

Be thankful for the Christmas gifts you get this year,
because there are little kids who do not get any,
because their parents cannot afford any.

There are many things that you should be thankful for,
that many people do not recieve,
or they do not have.

Just look at all the little things you get to have,
and just be thankful,
even if you don't like going to school,
you are getting a free education,
where other kids in other countries do not have.

This holiday season,
Be thankful for what you recieve,
be thankful for what you have,
and be thankful just for everything,
because people do not have most of the stuff,
as us Americans have.
