Greatest Day Of My Life.

It will be the greatest day of my life,

The day life finally relieved me of my earthly duties,

A long boring life of responsibilities,

With gratuity of a long-lasting peaceful sleep,

Oh love, am sorry but don’t worry,

Because have finally found peace,

For am glad life pushed you my way,

For you been the only good thing that comes forth my way on earth,

Bringing with you all fortune man can ever ask for,

Just like the moon is proud over the brightness he brings to darkness,

Am proud of being yours and you been the brightness in my life,

Though tears and anger maybe the order of the day,

But please don’t cry, for I have finally found peace.



A child is born into the world, innocent in coming,

But life choose to give thee responsibilities, just with one life to live,

Responsibilities I bared forth till this day,

Race given, religion given and sex was given,

These thees have to defend and carry till the end of thy duty,

Even if it cost thee thou life, self and sanity,

If I weren’t black I won’t have to worry about black life matter,

If am not female I won’t have to be a feminist,

Voicing and fighting for my self-esteem due to male chauvinism,

All these responsibilities just with one life to live,

Thank you, life for finally relieving me of my earthly duties,

Mother, I hope I played my role well as a good son?

Friends I hope I played around well as a good friend?

Love I hope I did play my role well as a good companion in our union,

That I didn’t falter in my duties and responsibilities,

Little ones I hope I was the super dad in your imagination?

That I didn’t bore you with the jokes about my youth days,

And am proud you are all part of my life,

Thank you, life for the duties finally relieved.
