“Candice Miller walked in!” said John.

“No... why would you think that?

“Because you sound so excited and you have a huge crush on her so, if she walked in you would be excited!”

“I do not have a crush on Candy Miller!” Randy whispered, glancing around. “and besides, why would Candy Miller show up at my Uncle Ralph’s house?”

“I don’t know; she might live next door?”

“She doesn’t live next door to Uncle Ralph!”

“Where does she live?”

“I don’t know!”

“Sooo... she actually could live next door to your Uncle Ralph, couldn’t she.”

“Do you want to hear my story or do you want to talk about Candy Miller!”

“OK, so, right then the doorbell rang. Uncle Ralph said he wasn’t expecting anyone, so he went to see who it was and you’ll never believe who was standing there!”

NO! Not Candy Miller!” Randy said, between clenched teeth, “I do not have a crush on Candy Miller, Candy Miller does not live next door to my Uncle Ralph, Candy Miller did not ring Uncle Ralph’s doorbell, Candy Miller was not at his door, Candy Miller is not in this conversation!”

“What conversation? And who is Uncle Ralph?” asked Candy Miller coming up behind them.
