What my dragon friend was like.
Dragon Friend

I had a dragon friend,
true in all he did.

He covered me beneath his wings
to protect me from the rain and wind.

He was fiercely loyal,
standing up to haters.

He encouraged me to keep going;
he was my best friend.

Ah, but there came a day
when he had to say goodbye.

He left something by my door,
a dragon’s tooth and his boy named Sly.
