Heartbound (teaser/short prequel)

Darkness, it's all I saw, it's all I ever saw, and I'm not sure how much longer I have to deal with this darkness, I had been here for who knows how long. oh, excuse me for being so rude, let me introduce myself.... well.. I don't really have a name, but for now call me..... Black. Why do I know some of the stuff I know, you ask? I hear voices sometimes, speaking to me, teaching me. Right now they seem silent though... ah well, I have you to talk to... now... what else about me.... hmm.... my favorite number is 3.14.... and my favorite letter is H, why H? Because... well... I don't know... oh, and I'm a female. So... that's me, what about you? Ah... I see. That's interesting. You don't know a single thing about yourself? That's quite odd.... oh! You need a name.... how about... white? Wait.... do you see what I see?.... is that... let's see... what did they call it? Ah, yes! Light! Let's go- wait... what do you mean you don't want to go? Oh... not all light is bad though... come on!
