Sarah and her tree
There was a large maple tree in Sarah’s backyard.

Its branches were thick and sturdy, perfect for climbing. In the summer, the leaves were lush and green, blocking the blazing sun’s light and heat. In the winter, the snow covered its branches, making it a beauty to behold. Sarah had slept under it, at night time when the stars were shining in the sky, at day time when the birds were singing around the flowers.

Sarah loved her tree.

Now, she was getting married under it.

Sarah wore a laced bridal dress just reaching the grass. She stood underneath the tree, its lower branches loosely tied with lavender colored bulbs, blinking in the falling sunset sky.

“I do.” She said.

Laughter and applause followed.

The wind whistled through the leaves. The tree applauded its hands in happiness.
