GET A LIFE TVCs:

I was just scrolling my news feed and suddenly came across "MAXX" mobile's TVC which featured Mehwish Hayat and could not stop laughing when I heard "YEH HAI MAST MAST MAXX". We are so used to watch such advertisements where "THAND" jokes are represented by investing a huge amount of money. You can make a TVC in Pakistan with one super class model or if you cannot afford, you can also hire a Punjabi one who can dance and 3 to 4 back dancers, then take one "CHICHORA" song and your TVC is ready. We seldom see a good advertisement during drama breaks.

But some of our TVCs are absolutely above the mark and people fall in love with them. Last year, we witnessed the "Dostea" advertisement series which brought smiles to our faces. Similarly, "Oye Hoye", "Kenwood", "Oreo", "Shan" and "Homage" are setting some standards in this race.

But these brands can be counted on fingers. A vast number of brands are just ready to make TVCs which are just "SAR DARD, SAR DARD" or "MERE DES KA BISCUIT GALA" (Why we were not informed about our national biscuit) or "AYA AYA Q-MOBILE AYA" or "CHAL KUCH NAYA KARTE HAIN" or "TRADE MARK NO: 223190" or "AB GORA HOGA PAKISTAN" or "AXCUSE ME, AAP BHI" or "QAMAR CHA WAH BHAI WAH".

We don't have to write over cellular companies TVCs because I think you have caught my point. If you are going to watch Q-Mobile or any other cellular company's TVC, grab your heart, sit with patience and pray for mercy.

In developed countries, there is a proper marketing department with creative minds who are responsible for the advertisement but our TVCs are made by the "SAITH" of the company, so you must bear them.

We should make our marketing departments active and creative because we cannot bear Waseem Hasan Sheikh anymore.
