If your heart is made of paper, it can't break.
Paper Hearts Can’t Break

Paper hearts can’t break
When hurt for another’s sake.

They may crumple and tear
When life seems so unfair.

Paper hearts can’t break
When love’s not there to take.

They may rip and bleed
For another’s wrongful deed.

Paper hearts can’t break
When one drowns in a lake.

They can’t cry true tears
Or realize another’s fears.

Paper hearts can’t break
When hurt for another’s sake.
