You called me weak, but am I?

I called you strong, but are you?

You told me not to cry, to smile and lie.

"Emotion is weakness, and weakness will destroy." You said

You stood tall and rained false words, painful wounds down upon me.

You told me to pick myself up, "Show no weakness" you said

I called you strong, but you called me weak.

Day after day this continued, until it was all I knew.

You seemed to grow bigger, stronger, taller, faster, meaner, crueler as time passed.

I would've cowered before you if you had allowed it.

No, instead I stood tall and strong

But you still called me weak.

Even after all I went through, never complaining, not even a peep.

I would always be weak to you.

But then, one day, you walked out the door and didn't come back.

The police said that you died in an accident.

But I know better.

Who's the weak one now?
