The Power

I want the power.

I want the power, to never feel heart ache again, the uneven cracks on my heart still crumble sometimes. I'm trying my best, it's not enough sometimes.

I want the power.

I want the power to say, your staying with me, because all of my life I've let them fly free. "If it's better for them it's better for me." But they take a piece of me every time they leave.

I want the power to tell you, that I am the one. I may not be the best, but I'm still better than the rest. I can't make you rich, but I can make you laugh, if that's just not enough, give me the power to not look back.

I am sick of the heartbreak.
I'm sick of causing pain.
I want the power to love you.
I know I'll loose you all the same.
