Beyond the shadow of doubt, I am what is underneath
I am the foundation of faith, the basis of belief
I am an ally of trust, the enemy to deceit
I am not involved in small talk, my conversation is deep
I remove pretense, they say I'll set you free
Though people despise liars, most are still afraid of me
My rival is denial, for I am knowledge of self
I am complete, meaning half of me is something else
I am the reality that unravels illusion
I am unapologetic, the antidote of confusion
Love is my mother, conviction is my father
Of the words written on your conscience I am the author
I reside in innocence, my ambassadors are children
If I am missing from a church it is nothing more than a building
I am the fabric of the law, I cause cheaters to pause
I am the spotlight on a thief, I am the bane of a fraud
Hidden by magicians with cunning and slight of hand
If honesty is the blueprint, I am the diagram
In the heart of protesters who take a righteous stand
