Katarina and her friend Lynn find some inner feelings
The swords clashed together as the fighting began to become more intense. Sweat gleamed on my forehead though my opposer sneered down at me, not showing any sign of weariness. The clang of the metal rung in my ears like bells as I narrowly parried a blow to my stomach, And soon I found myself on the ground, panting heavily. I was not anticipating a foot to reach out, knocking my feet from underneath myself. I breathed heavily; feeling my breath resonate off the ground and back into my face, it reeked of hard work and spittle and it was hot enough to melt the sun. Rolling onto my back, I saw the gleaming outline of metal leering down at me, mocking my lack of skill. My eyes followed the sword up the arm of my opposer, a gleaming Emerald gaze looked down at me, a red fiery mane flowed around them like a river current. Suddenly a warm laughter shook my head as the blade was pulled aside and replaced with a hand. Gingerly I took it and felt myself being lifted up to my feet. My friend Katarina grinned at me with a look of approval.

"You've improved, it only took you 15 seconds to die this time," 1I glared down at the ground, attempting to hide my blush of embarrassment. My friend lifted my chin with a sign, "I'm proud of you. Really," this time I blushed again. Meeting her Emerald gaze was difficult, she had an air of authority and professionally. And of course she was very beautiful. I looked away with a quiet "thank you" and picked up my sword. It was a small normal looking thing used by the low ranking noxian officers. Being someone who had to be integrated into a Noxian lifestyle was hard. I was dumped off at this war ridden city at the age of 8 and for some reason, the Du Couteau family adopted me. Katarina always held some kind of interest in me, more of a friendly view and insists that I have a secret inner warrior hidden deep inside. It was only until recently though that she insisted that we that warrior out.

"I think we're done for today," Katarina smiled. She really looked proud of me which is a feat in itself. She was very well known for being a relentless remorseless killer, being proud of someone who's barely strong enough to hold a sword properly must mean something. With a loud exasperated "Bleh" I plopped down on a bale of straw, stretching out until my aching muscles commanded me to stop. Katarina smiled and put a hand on my shoulder; the gesture was sensitive, almost like a mother to her child.

"I don't know Kat..." I quietly brushed her hand off. "I don't think I'm getting any better," I bite my lower lip and avoid her eyes. I could feel them tracing my face. A red blush enforced itself onto my face once again. The very thought that she could see it made me so embarrassed that my blush only deepened.

"I don't know what your talking about. I thought you were doing well," she moved her eyesight down towards her feet. Discretely my gaze directed itself over to her. This was the first time I really noticed how tight her pants clung to her thighs... and how her crop top showed some cleavage... no! What am I thinking? This is Noxus, there's no room for rainbows and sunshine here. I tear my eyes off of her in an attempt to hide my inner feelings. Thankfully she didn't seem to notice.

"Hey let's go back," Katarina said standing up, holding her hand out for me. I refused her help and stood up myself. She gave me a look that said "ooh too good for my help now?" And snickered. Together the two of us walked away, back to the mansion of the Du Couteau family. My inner thoughts following me despite my attempts to disregard them.
