This is what happens when I'm ill, and this is how I pull myself up.

Me, myself and I

I may be smiling,

But deep down, my heart weeps.

I may look strong,

But I know I'm shattered to pieces.

I may hum a tune,

But deep down I know I've lost my songs.

I may look okay,

But only I know my pangs of pain.

Yes, I know I may be in tears,

But I know I can get back up.

Yes, I know I may not have a voice now,

But deep down, all my tunes exist.

I know now, my heart may feel empty,

But I can always wrap my arms round a loved one.

Waves of pain may shot up my body,

But I know am strong enough to fight that.
