Mother's Teachings

Here's what I learned from my Mother.

If you are a ditch digger then be the best ditch digger in the world.
If you are a cook then master cooking for that is your calling.
If you are a seamstress than create designs to die for.
If you are a Christian then live your life so that no one has to ask who you serve.
No matter what you choose to do and you will do a lot of things in this lifetime, be your very best that is what God expects of you!
We are not all going to become chemists and discover a new cure for cancer.
We will not all become leaders and rule the world
We will not all be famous and write love songs, become actresses or even great dishwashers.
But we all have the opportunity to be our best at whatever we choose.
So choose wisely, your life, your happiness, and your future depend on it.

After finishing whatever she was doing she would say
Give every man or woman his due respect
Trust them and their word until they prove otherwise
Hold your head up even if you are in rags
Look a person in their eyes never look down at your feet
You are as good as the next person, and don't you ever forget that
To compete in this world you must be twice as good as the next person
Always trust in God and yourself and you will never go wrong

Not everybody will love you, so love yourself
It is better to walk alone than with a band of thieves
One day you will come to that fork in the road, and you will be forced to choose
Always choose wisely for whatever the consequence, it will be your choice
Love is not something you can buy, it is something that is freely given and earned over and over each day
Before criticising or looking down on someone, walk a mile in their shoes
Always ask yourself, what will they write in your obituary when you are gone
No one lives forever, but live while you are living

Today is your opportunity to excel in your endeavors. So take your life to another level, if only in being the best person that you can be going through your personal trials and tribulations.

The sun is sure to rise again tomorrow,but will you rise to YOUR CHALLENGES TODAY?
