A short poem with a theatrical theme.
Since then I talk in pantomime,
Having trust the dawning days,
I let slip loose to those
Deceiving in a masquerade.

Your hollow words which carry out
Your steps that lacked conviction;
The burlesque promise just
Fell short of my standing ovation.

Enter stage left: your feathered feet waltzing across the stage.
Enter stage right: the iniquity that follows behind.
The entanglement of voice and body in your duet
Pierces the audience of one.
