Mets game from last week, a walk off victory.
The Mets beat the Miami Marlins in ten innings on 08/29/2016 thanks to Yoenis Cespedes' solo shot.

New York Mets' reliever Josh Smoker picked up the win, his first MLB victory, after starter Rafael Montero lasted five innings. He allowed two hits, no runs, walked six while striking out three.

The Mets bullpen combined for five quality innings tossed with six strikeouts. The only Miami run came on an 8th inning RBI double from Xavier Scruggs.

Jose Reyes provided the excitement with some temporary worries when he scored on a wild pitch from Marlins reliever AJ Ramos. Ramos collided with Jose while covering home plate on that play, both players remained in the game and seemed to be fine afterwards.

Miami Marlins starter Jose Fernandez pitched well against the Mets.

In the bottom of the tenth, Yoenis Cespedes provided the finishing touches with a solo shot off Nick Wittgren, who took the loss.
