“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 I have a passion to help others come to know that God sent his Son, Jesus, to give us hope and to heal our emotional hurts. Immediately after I accepted God’s calling to write, Satan began his attack with thoughts such as “You have no writing experience; it’s not God speaking to you, it’s your wishful imagination. You have no time or energy to devote to this.” In the past I had allowed Satan free reign over my thoughts. He repeatedly told me I was unworthy and unlovable. For far too long Satan had me convinced that my past was to ugly and my future would be the same. Once I surrendered my heart, my hurts, my ugly past, my daily mistakes , all of me, My Heavenly Father began softly speaking a different story. He whispers in my ear that “I am holy and blameless; redeemed and forgiven, lavished with grace.” Ephesians 1:7-8. He promises that divine resources and riches and solutions are on my side, assets that make me “more than victorious” through the sheer size of His love.” Romans 8:37. I am a child of the King, a heavenly princess. When I began accepting what my Father was freely giving me I began to take back what Satan had stolen from me. Just as My God blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part, he is doing the same for me. |
