Need Help!

Hello everyone,

It's been a while, again, since I've been on here but I need some help!

Over the past few months I've really started to write some of my novel. I find myself as a discovery writer, I know the pros and cons, but I've hit a wall. The novel is so big and keeps getting bigger I feel like I've just written myself into a corner.

I would really appreciate it if people could help me with their writing processes please.

This novel has been in my head since about 2008 and has recently in the last year only started to come into fruition. I feel I need to get back in touch with ym old creative self and stop being critical of myself. When I was younger I'd just write anything such as character sheeets and maybe draw some simple pictures to help but for some reason now I just seem to write and discover the story which works but I know in the future and the editing stage it will come back to haunt me as things won't make sense and I'll have a lot to change.

I have other novels or stories on the go and I find myself becoming better and more organised but a part of my just wants to write what I call my 'main novel' as it comes and go back and edit it no matter how long it takes me so it's some what as 'perfect' as it gets. I know I want to complete it all before I ever think of publishing it such as Michael J. Sullivan and his Riyria Chonicles.

I have so many characters and a whole world rather than a small portion of a world like most novels I've read have.

I guess all I'm asking is does anyone have any hints and tips for me and what are other people's writing processes that can help me advance my own writing.
