Poem that talks about enlightenments in daily life |
In the little barber’s shop Across the lane, Waiting for my turn I watched an old frail man With white hair Sitting close to a boy With chubby chicks And dark curly hair When the seat became free The boy called the old man “grandpa, will you have it first? “ And in the little barber’s shop I got my first enlightenment What time can do with The chubby chicks And the dark curly hair. In the little barber’s shop Across the lane, While gulping the cutting chai I saw the hair on the floor Gray and black and white All getting mixed up Loosing all the value and beauty they Had before the scissor started working And in the little barber’s shop I got my second enlightenment What happens when you Lose your roots. In the little barber’s shop Across the lane, I heard people discussing Vociferously Tolerance and intolerance and politics and culture and returning of awards The battle of words went on and on Both sides became violent but finally all agreed on their failure to control prices of lentils And in the little barber’s shop I got my third enlightenment What matters most in life Is the price of lentil and not the tolerance or Intolerance. |
