My senses enliven with something brand new.
In the fresh air, climbing high,
the sun spreads a warm glow
lighting upon my serene face.

Feeling light enough to skip
along the mountain peaks,
pausing only to send an
echoing call across the
sound waves of old.

Lying in a field of flower blossoms,
Jasmine aroma fills my senses,
sending a signal of a long ago
just beyond remembering.

Dancing in a secret spot, just
beyond the waterfall's spray,
is how I feel when I'm with you;
my senses enliven with
something brand new.

Smells are crisper like the
first bite of a green apple
picked right off the tree.
Colors shine brighter like my
eyes when I look into yours.
As if fierce winds
itself have blown through,
clearing the way of the
wrapped-in-plastic kind of baggage,
renewing the slate once more.

Which open the windows of my soul,
freeing the state of my very being
from its' locked up steel bar,
bricked chamber.
