Queen Elizabeth gazed at her tiny kingdom, if she could even call it hers anymore. She looked down at Maya, who was but a fraction of her height. The two of them were the only hope the city had of ever regaining its independence, and as much as she hated to admit it, the odds were not looking too good at the moment. “My queen,” Maya said. “What shall we do now?” Elizabeth turned around and scanned Mother’s dominion. She couldn’t deny its beauty and grace; the splendid, sprawling architecture demonstrated a true eye for artistic talent. “We must build our power,” Elizabeth replied. “Mother’s strong, but she’s not omnipotent.” “Well, honey, she does seem to possess tremendous powers,” the king stated. “This is true,” Elizabeth said. “But I’m willing to bet even her powers have a limit. And they're stronger here. If we could get her out of her kingdom, we’d stand a better chance.” “My queen, you’re our best hope,” Maya said. “Clover’s spell has made you much stronger than anyone else here. Do you know if anyone is left in the prison?” Elizabeth smiled ever so slightly. She knew what Maya was thinking. Elizabeth ordered her servants to remove any remaining prisoners from the city jail and for them to be brought before her. When all was said and done, eight criminals cowered before her feet. She curled her toes, the lion staring down the criminals as they looked at their own terrified reflections. Elizabeth pondered how to go about this execution; kill all eight at once for a massive growth spell, or over time so as not to arouse too much suspicion? Elizabeth settled on the latter option. She selected one individual on the end and swiftly lowered her big toe onto his helpless form. The ground tumbled at this simple action, and she could feel power coursing through her body. She closed her eyes as her body grew, and when she opened them she towered at an impressive 18 miles tall. She was slightly larger than a third of Anna’s size, and she was still nearly microscopic to Mother, but she was six times larger than she was a minute ago. The amount she grew each time seemed to increase exponentially, and there was no way of telling how much she would grow each time. |
