A bit of a poem inspired by a snowflake.
One sparkling snowflake sings, "Catch me if you can."
Soon she's swirling swiftly past my mittened hand.
I hear her giggle, it sounds like tinkling ice.
As she skips I slip, stumble, not once, but twice.
"Do not give up. Let's play. Isn't this such fun?"
In reply, I tried to catch her with my tongue.
"Oh ho, nice try. You haven't caught me just yet."
Then that silver spark spun a quick pirouette.
I chased that snowflake 'round and 'round the white trees.
'Til I was dizzy and fell upon my knees.
Softly, slowly, my frozen friend floated down.
She kissed my cheek with a wee whisper of sound.
"Come on, join me. Let's tumble in the fresh snow.
Have you made a snow angel? Give it a go."
That's the last I saw of my skipping snow swirl.
She must have twirled off to meet another girl.
