Polly wants to find her way back home...
Header for a story

Once upon a time, there was a penguin named Polly. She lived in San Diego Zoo. Lots of people came from faraway to see Polly. Polly loved to swim. She also appreciated the admiring fans. One day, Polly switched zoos to California Zoo. She fell out of her cage and fell off the train.

After she got on her feet, she realized the train had left her. Then she said to herself:
"I'll find my way back home. Polly started walking and walking until her little legs couldn't carry her any more. She stopped by a little lake to get a drink of water, where she met a duck and her ducklings. She asked the duck:

"Have you seen a train around here?"

The ducks replied:

"You just missed it. It just passed by us."

Polly followed the train tracks and met a fox, and asked again. Sadly, she got the same answer. She followed the tracks some more, and found a train station. Finally she found her train. Luckily, the windows were open, so she could just climb in. She was so happy to be united with the other penguins again.

*Note2* This story is not my work. My ten year old niece narrated this, and I just wrote her words. Those of you who have read

already know about her. This is an easy way for me to spend some quality time with her, and I enjoy every moment of it.
