Traveler, did you know that Jesus is the Way?
For He promised men-fishers there by the bay
With eyes aglow, and heart filled with matchless Love,
Son drew all men to Him with deep desire above.
Shadows cloaked the earth until Light burst forth,
Breaking chains, healing hearts and still pointing North,
A solid Rock amid stormy seas so strong,
Stands firm, for the house which dwells on it belongs.
In a home, a woman bends low, kissing His feet
As tears stream down, bringing comfort as they eat.
Prepared for burial, the Savior is nailed
To the cruel cross, blood drips down, He exhaled.
With His last breath, Christ paid the debt we owe Him,
Cold in the grave, corpse wrapped, his disciples hid, grim.
Sin seemed to win, Satan laughed, yet the Savior
Arose in brilliant Light, changing behavior.
