Times of Shortages
Gods people need to be prepared, and be ready to share.
This is not a time for fear, but to be grateful for a great
harvest of soul winning, God has warned his people
what is to come, we have an opportunity to care for and feed
young and old, both body and soul. God bless!

Please note* I do not use a pressure cooker, they scare me,
" besides I don't want to be mistaken for a terrorist" lol.
The process I use is the old fashion water bathing.
Never gotten sick yet!. I will try to add one recipe a day.

Preparing your sealers for canning

I use the hottest setting on my dishwasher,
for washing jars.
I set them upside down on a clean towel.

If you do not have a dishwasher. Wash and
clean jars by hand, then boil in your canister,
please take care handling hot jars, as you
place them upside on towel.

In a separate Bowl I pour boiling water over the
sealing rims and inserts. Check your inserts,
making sure the rubber seal is intact.

Filling Your Jars

Fill jars one inch from the top.
Wipe rim with a clean cloth, make sure there's
no chip on jar rim , we want a good clean seal.
Place jars in canner, and fill to the neck of jar.
Your time starts when water comes to boil,
timing differs depending on what your canning.
When boiling time is reached, using a jar lifter
set on a towel to cool. You'll hear a popping sound
when seal is complete. Please make sure seal is
good before storing.

There are two types of canning I will share,
One is the water bathing and the other is dry
pack canning. Dry pack canning is used to
keep nuts, seeds etc. From going stale.
