The course of life. Suggestions welcomed!!!
Vigilant nurses await your birth
Ready to alleviate any pain
Your mother stirs with anguish
Now it is time for them to act

Fresh from the womb you are born
Covered in a plethora of vernex
You emit your first cry
A child is now born

You are placed in your mother’s arms
Where she gingerly cradles you
The nurses tell her,
Soon you may leave

Months went by,
Discoveries were made
You learned how to crawl, then walk
Now a lethargic mother chases you

Years seem to pass,
No longer a baby you run and you talk
Intrepid you are and oh so astute
Ready for anything and far from mundane

It isn’t too long
Before you are gone
Off to college
Experiencing life

You face much adversity
And many despise you
They are all jealous
For you have integrity

Suddenly you find yourself working all day
An adult you now are
With bills to pay
And a brand new car

No time for being indolent
There is too much to do
No time to be a prodigal
For everything costs

Being frugal is hard
With so much to pay for
And so much to do
Yet you must resist

As you grow older,
You meet the one
She makes you happy
Completes you

Soon you decide,
You are in love,
With levity you propose
No need to conciliate

It’s a matter of time
Till she becomes pregnant
Now you have children,
The roles are reversed

Your children grow up
You become old
It’s a matter of time
Before you will pass

This was your life
An unobtrusive life
It seemed abridged
Though it wasn’t at all

So what can I say,
This is the end
For it’s what we all face,
A ephemeral life….
