WHAT I DON'T SAY

What is it that I don't say? Writing affords me the opportunity to say what I really mean because sometimes my tongue gets twisted and I don't get the words or sentence out correctly. Writing puts it all together in a concise, coherent sentence or paragraph that I can go back and correct if I need to do so.

So what don't I say. I don't say that I feel the world is spinning out of control. Refugees from a place that, if they stay, they will be killed, or starved and worse, walking for days,only to be blocked by countries that don't want them. This is so wrong.

These people have done nothing except to live in a country that became too dangerous for them to stay and continue to live their lives. This exodus is beyond comprehension. Could I do it? I don't know. You have to have steel will to pick up and just walk until you ache with little or nothing to eat and no shelter at night from the elements. A horrible way of being.

Planned Parenthood? When is the government going to leave women alone? What next? A repeal of the women's right to vote? Don't think it hasn't crossed the minds of some in Congress! Those who oppose abortion also oppose any other aid to women who have the child, but can't financially support it. I am pro-choice. It is a woman's right to choose. If a woman chooses to give birth and put her child up for adoption, that is her choice. If a woman chooses to have a child and live in poverty, but has saved the life of that embryo, that is her choice. If a woman chooses to terminate her pregnancy for whatever reason, that is her choice. If a woman needs medical aid, then it is her choice to go to a private doctor, a clinic or Planned Parenthood.

The next President of the United States - please make it Bernie Sanders. I do not want Hillary Clinton to be the next President. If you think Congress has done nothing while Barack Obama is in office, the same will apply to Hillary. She is resented by the Republicans and probably a number of Democrats and Independents as well. I also don't like how she deflects the public and the media, as if she's entitled to stonewall when she wants to. Not a good trait for a President.

Bernie Sanders - he has his flaws, but he does have the spirit that the American people need. He talks about the issues - how many Americans are the working poor. They work, pay all the bills and have barely anything left to survive until the next paycheck.
