Feedback welcome!
I sat alone in the uncomfortable chair. It was big and puffy with gold and pink floral fabric. It was Grandma Pearl's old chair. The only thing I had inherited from her. An ugly old chair. I knew it was selfish for me to care; but this was the only reminder I had left of her. Something that I didn't care about. I really had cared about Grandma Pearl.I stood up and kicked the chair in a sudden rage. She was gone. EVERYTHING that she cared about had been sold, and I had gotten an ugly chair that just took up space. But I didn't want to get rid of it; because then it would be like getting rid of grandma.

The chair had fallen over from me kicking it. I got down and tried to flip it back up. I felt something. Paper. There was a paper stuffed into a crack in the chair. I pulled it out. It was a check attached to a note. 'To my dearest Hunter;' it read. 'I love you very much and hope to see you again.-Grandma Pearl'
