DANGEROUS WORDS

"You ain't no Ninja!"
He'd spoken true
So I replied
"Well neither are you!"

My hands can't cleave
Through wood or brick
But they can make
Words do a trick

Katana swords
I can't swing well
But I can write
A villanelle

My feet won't strike
Like some Bruce Lee
'Cause I was built
For poetry

So back off now
Cease and refrain
Ere I strike with
A bold quintain

If you persist
With your Kung Fu
I'll best you with
A deft haiku

Don't try karate
On my bonnet
I'll get you with
A killer sonnet

And if you throw
A round house kick
You'll face my deadly
Limerick

I ain't no Ninja
But as you see
I know full contact
