A girl wants to cuddle. Her mother is protective. The boyfriend has no idea what to do.
Fiona had thought that night would be perfect.

She'd have her boyfriend, Ted, over to watch movies and cuddle. Of course, with both of them being asexual, they wouldn't have done anything more.

Both of her parents wouldn't be home till late. Which was good, since she hadn't told them about dating yet.

All of that was ruined when her mom came home earlier than expected.

Her mother saw the light from the TV screen leaking through the bottom of the bedroom door.

So, figuring her daughter had fallen asleep with the television on, she went in to turn it off.

Well, she was right about the falling asleep part. But she hadn't expected to see Fiona cuddled up with a boy.

She immediately assumed the worst.

"Fiona!" she gasped loudly.

Fiona and Ted jolted up from the bed. Her mom had fixed them with a look that said, "You owe me an explanation!" quite clearly.

"Oh, uh, hi Mom!" Fiona said in a weak voice. "I didn't know you'd be home so soon. . ."

And so, Fiona ended up having to tell her parents about her boyfriend, and that they wouldn't be going to the next stage any time soon.

"So, no need to worry. We're both asexual, afterall," Fiona reassured her parents. Ted nodded along, adding little comments when he deemed it necessary.

"Don't worry, I would never want to hurt Fiona," was his response when the parents warned him to not hurt Fiona.

They maintained a steady relationship throughout the years, and eventually got married.
