The Secret


I was sitting in my room, when I heard mom call
“DINNER’S READY”
I then rush downstairs to get to the table before anybody else does. What a nice dinner that was served. Steak, potatoes, Mac and cheese, and apple pie. There was something wrong because we were all sitting at the table like a big happy family just mom, dad my brother and my sister. It was unusual why we were sitting at the table because we normally sit in our own rooms. I was beginning to wonder what is going on it seemed like everyone else knew why we were doing this.
As we were eating mom said to me “What’s wrong?”
I look up from my plate and say to her “I’m just really tired it has been a long day
I just want to go to sleep” but really I was not tired I was just wondering what was going on everyone was just acting really different.
As I finished my food I get up and start heading to my room but mom stopped me and said” Don’t go anywhere we have to talk” I got really scared so I turned around and went back to my seat. It got quiet.
I said “what are we waiting for” then everyone just looked at each other. I began to panic.
My sister said by accident “I can’t believe we are hiding this secret”
Mom hit her and said” Shut up let us handle this”
I said; “Handle what” then finally the time came.
Mom said to me “ I don’t know how to tell you this”
“Tell me what are you keeping from me” I said
Then the time came to where I was shocked.
When mom said to me “We are not your parents”
