Once upon a time a man asked a monk..

Hey lord i have always done good deeds in my life..i have helped others..what did i got in return??

You always say that you always get rewarded for your deeds.. then why am i not getting rewarded??

The monk answered...

Hey son

How does it feel when you do good work..when you help someone??

The man said..

I felt relaxed,satisfied....

I was proud of myself..

The monk replied..

That feeling of satisfaction was your reward..i dont know what reward you are asking for..if you are feeling satisfied then you are already being rewarded..

People always say that help others without any expectations..

But the truth is you cannot help anyone if you dont feel their need..and if you do feel their need then you are helping them because you want to..

You want that satisfaction..and when you get that..no more rewards should matter..
