Long Time

A long time has passed since I have loved you.
Many days I've cried because you were untrue.
After you got my love you cast it to the wind.
Knowing I'd never again be a contented man.

You through my memory away and forgot me.
You went from man to man wanting company.
So stay gone and continue on with your search.
Hope you find a love that is worth while in church.

When we met I was lonely with nothing to hold.
Life today is the same I've been left in the cold.
Being with you gave me nothing to keep new.
Except a broken heart you left here with me too.

I started with nothing and don't have anything.
Guess if you were able I wouldn't have dreams
So I will bid you goodbye no need for me to cry.
You have taken all I have no need to ask why.
