The broad heads deep into the sticks,
Thereabout the head of the river Dix.
From Roundstone, by way of the Brindle Ridge,
Dancin’ ‘cross the Renfro Crick sky bridge.

Safe passage to the bituminous seventy….
Azimuth two sixty, following setting sun.

Now folks, it’s gets Brushy, don’t be quick,
Next obstacle, old constable at the Bee Lick.
Then the vast Buck, to jump and run,
Atop the ridge, Eubank’s finally won..

Gazing north to the Hall’s Gap, way high on top.
Twenty Seven Semi trucks, reason enough to stop.

Fishing for food, feather up Bethel, for the Green,
Where the Hatter stares, the Yo’smite stairs’ stream.
Now paired, tandem with the river to the central time,
Crossin’ Taylor, dragging white trailer, nuptial sublime.

Return from the great sixty eight, don’t be late for Elkhorn,
Acton instincts, Stoner Creek east, yesterdee, I weren’t born.

And up o’er the hill, fordin’ through the old Bull Run,
Passin’ the wizard at chicken gizzard, Clementsville’s won.
Dark side of the earth, liberty has no worth, jails in ev’ry town,
So climb the mighty fountain, she’s King’s Mountain bound.

Witness to the tunnel, beside the mighty pass, stone blast.
Carriage coined, headed to Pleasant Point, Leaches passed.


Soul tortured, shortcut through Crab Orchard spotted fawns,
Felt like leather, Copper held together with covalent bonds.
And back the wilderness trail, happy home nearby awaits,
Berea Madison, hiding from the bright and noisy interstates…
