My thoughts on why I write.
Many people have asked me the question, "Why do you write?" and the answer is not simple. It depends on what kind of writing we are talking about, but lets start with this piece here. I am writing this piece because I am attempting to answer a question that deals with my as a human being, it deals with why I enjoy something that is central to me as a person, and that is important. It is important to address those questions, understanding who you are and why you do things is essential to your growth as a person and also to your pursuit of wisdom. To simply answer "That's just the way I am." is a cop out. Do not settle for such a basic answer, instead, search within your own mind and soul to find out WHY. Constantly be asking why.

Next I will address why I write some of my poetry and short stories, that is an outlet. It is a way for me to take my thoughts that trouble me, or thoughts I feel are important, and let them out into the world. Everyone is on this earth for a reason, and everyone has valid thoughts and opinions that have potential to improve our world if we use them correctly, I simply wish to make sure that I don't withhold what could potential be something significant. Now, this is not to say that I believe that everything I say is significant. Hell, you might think what I wrote here is a load of crap.

Finally I address why I write my larger stories, that is something else entirely. I write stories because I love creating characters. I love starting from scratch and constructing a world in which I control the lives of men and women that I hold very dear to my heart. I don't want to write a book, I want to write an experience.
